CO:
“All right Major Welsh. Sit rep.”
“As best as we can, all the nav computers are running. We have information Sierra from the flag ship. We are way behind with armor patching. The pilots and deck gangs are either whining about having nothing to do when we halt flight ops for major repairs. They also complain bitterly when the work load is too high.”
“Fairly typical. If the pilots need something to do when flight ops are shut down, they can help the deck gang with repairs.
All right then. We make the jump and will work our standard pattern. S turns to avoid too many hits reaching the interior of the ship through gaps in the armor coverage.”
“Pretty much Sir.”
“Jump complete Commander. Mercury is reporting the expected size and disposition of Cylon forces.”
“Launch the airwing and the munitions against the pair of freighters.”
“Helm implement our first turn. Break left. Starboard.”
“Helm is answering commander.
“Break right.”
“Helm hard to starboard.”
“We have a firing solution to starboard commander.”
“Helm crash, turn starboard. Batteries switch to salvo mode.”
XO:
“Starboard flight pod reporting gunfire hits on the armor.”
“Heavy missile fire front and starboard.”
XO:
“Flagship is signalling for an S turn in 30 seconds.”
CO:
“Acknowlege and execute!”
“Another salvo hit front and starboard.”
“Starboard pod reporting heavy bombardment. Armor state uncertain.”
“Mercury is permitting us to break formation to crack this task force.”
“This is Solaria Actual. We are exchanging heavy fire with several enemy ships.”
